Ask any of our players about their favorite cricketing memory and, more often than not, it involves a tour. There is something about playing the game in a new country that accelerates a young cricketer in ways the nets never can.
New conditions, faster learning
Different pitches, different weather and unfamiliar opposition force players to think and adapt. A batter who has only played on home surfaces learns more in three tour matches than in a month of routine practice.
Growth that goes beyond cricket
Tours build independence, teamwork and confidence. Players learn to look after themselves, support one another and represent something bigger than the individual. Parents often tell us their child came home a little more grown up.
They leave as a group of players and come back as a team, and often as better young people too.
